Boarding + Training

Meadowbriar Stables is a full care boarding facility with a total of 30 stalls. Our capable staff feed and water the horses twice daily.  We offer Tribute grains and various feed options depending on the age, condition and needs of your horse. The feeding of supplements in a smart pak are accommodated free of charge. Horses are turned out daily, weather permitting. Horses will not be turned out in muddy or icy conditions. In the event of bad weather horses will be rotated out in the indoor and outdoor arenas for some play time. Fans in summer time and blankets in wintertime are optional, and will incur an additional minimal fee.

Lesson Program

Meadowbriar Stables has three instructors on staff and lessons are taught seven days a week.  We offer quality instruction to all levels of riders from the beginner or casual rider, to the advanced student interested in competing.  Shipping in of outside horses for lessons can be arranged.  The lesson horses at Meadowbriar Stables range from the wonderful school masters who will take care of and build confidence in the beginner rider, to the upper-level lesson horses who will challenge the intermediate and advanced riders to rise to new levels.

Meadowbriar Stables offers a variety of horse riding camps during school vacations. Camps are filled on a first come, first serve basis. For current camp flyers and information please see our group Facebook page or contact Kim Gundry directly.

Meadowbriar Stables offers a wide range of horse showing opportunities.  We host  Hunter/Jumper shows at our facility, as well as travelling with our lesson horses to compete at other local horse shows. We regularly compete with our customer horses and privately owned horses on the KHJA circuit, as well as attending a few USEF and USHJA rated shows annually. We  offer showing to all our students from the beginner level to the competitive student. Students who wish to compete at the bigger shows and do not own their own horse may be able to “lease” one from us for the shows.

Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA)

The Meadowbriar Stables Interscholastic Equestrian Team is a wonderful opportunity for all riders to compete in a “team” environment. Riders  travel with the group to horse shows hosted by other teams. We  ride the horses provided by the horse show.  The competitors will  “draw a random horse” they have most likely never ridden before from an appropriate selection of horses provided by the show. The riders will  compete in level appropriate Equitation divisions on the horse that they have drawn. Classes are offered both over fences and on the flat. Riders accumulate points based on their placings in order to qualify for Regional competition. Top placing riders at Regionals will have the opportunity to move on to Zones and ultimately to Nationals if they are successful.  Our team is proud to have consistently qualified and had riders place at IEA National Finals.
